Peter Island Resort offers a weekly day trip to Virgin Gorda to visit The Baths. Every Thursday, a private catamaran whisks guests away from resort life shortly after breakfast and introduces them to a voyage on the water. After a leisurely sail on the open water, adventurers experience The Baths. These massive granite boulders form a collection of mysterious sea-flooded pools which explorers can climb through on their way to Devil’s Bay and beach. Peter Island guests are encouraged to bring along complimentary snorkel gear as there are ideal snorkel locations along Devil’s Bay and Spring Bay. Following an eventful day in the sun, guests sail back to Peter Island Resort with plenty of time to dress for dinner and swap stories from their day of adventure.
St. Thomas’ capital city, Charlotte Amalie, offers some of the best duty-free shopping in the Caribbean, and Peter Island Resort proudly offers two trips a week to do just that. Every Tuesday and Saturday, guests can climb aboard the ferry while viewing some of the most breathtaking scenery within the British and U.S. Virgin Islands. After an exciting day of shopping and sightseeing, Peter Island guests return to the island in time for an exceptional dinner feast.
The British Virgin Islands are famous among snorkelers for colorful, well-protected coral formations and exotic plant and marine life. Among the best sites are the four caves at Norman Island, the original Treasure Island, where schools of tropical fish swim by. Guided snorkeling tours are available through the Peter Island Dive Shop, Paradise Water Sports.
