Heli Trip to Milford Sound
An excellent half-day trip to consider is a fly/cruise/fly option to Milford Sound with Glacier Southern Lakes Helicopters. First, they pick guests up from Azur and take them to the airport to start the flight. Then, they fly to Milford Sound, stopping on a glacier halfway for photos, then land in Milford and take a 2-hour cruise around the Sound and fly back via a different route. The views on this trip are unbeatable and it is only a half-day trip, so most of the afternoon is free.
Wilderness Jet Boating
The Dart River Safari is a fantastic jet boat package. This trip takes guests down the Stunning Dart River Valley & into the Mount Aspiring National Park. Dart River Safari picks guests up from Azur and takes them to Glenorchy (44 km from Queenstown and an amazing drive) where the safari starts. The trip includes a 4x4 drive and nature walk, with refreshments provided and a drive back to Queenstown once the trip is finished.
Private Local Area/Winery Tour
The perfect way to see the area and to enjoy some local wine is to hire a great local driver/guide for the day. The hotel has a partnershop with a company called Resort Transport. For $90/person, they will take guests anywhere they would like to go and for any amount of time. All the drivers they use are long-term Queenstown residents with a fantastic knowledge of the local area and wines.

Skyline Gondola
The Skyline Gondola is always worth a visit. It gives amazing views of Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu and also has a luging track at the top.
Historic Lake Cruise
There is a working sheep station in Queenstown that can be accessed across the lake by a vintage steam ship, the TSS Earnslaw. Boats leave from the town center every 2 hours and once you cross the lake and reach the station, you can watch a full sheep farm show.

The Onsen Hot Pools are housed in private cedar-lined bathing rooms, each complete with shower, changing area, and breathtaking mountain views. Guests can retract the roof and front wall at the touch of a button to be immersed in the amazing alpine scenery. At night, dim the lights and watch the southern constellations wheel past overhead.
