Copperhead Course
Considered among America’s finest golf courses and woven into the natural fabric of the resort’s landscape, the Copperhead Course is home to the annual PGA TOUR’s Transitions Championship and offers a challenging Tampa golf experience – even for the most seasoned golfer. Defined by tree-lined fairways and rolling terrain, Copperhead tests players with its many uphill and downhill shots, significant elevation changes, and a variety of water-protected approach shots. With the fairways and greens mostly free of traditional course-lined residences, Copperhead provides the opportunity to enjoy golf the way nature intended.
Island Course
With tight fairways, intimidating water hazards, and abundant bunkers, the newly renovated and lengthened Island Course is considered by many to be as equally demanding as Copperhead. The extraordinarily picturesque Island has played host to numerous U.S. Open qualifiers and NCAA Championships, and has also been ranked among the country’s top 50 resort courses by Golf Digest. The LPGA selected the course as the site of its first Legends Tour Open Championship.
North Course
For groups that wish for a more relaxed Tampa golf experience, Innisbrook makes it easy with two equally beautiful championship courses with less complex designs. Similar in terrain to Copperhead, the North Course is known for its beautiful par threes, tight fairways, and an abundance of trees and well-bunkered greens. It has long been popular with players who enjoy its shorter, yet still challenging design.
South Course
The South Course features a links-style approach, both in terms of rolling terrain and numerous fairway bunkering. The breezes from the Gulf of Mexico usually come sweeping across the wide-open fairways, helping to round out a perfect foursome of golf courses. Irrespective of playing ability, Innisbrook offers expert instruction on how to improve scores on all four courses, and instills a newfound confidence in each visitor’s golf game.
Practice Area
Whether guests are looking to simply warm up prior to a round or trying to solve a nagging hook or slice, consider visiting the main practice area, located near the Osprey Clubhouse. This 10-acre practice and instruction facility is available to guests prior to playing a round at the Island, North, or South courses, and it also serves as the primary practice spot for players without a tee time. Complete golf clinics, conducted by professionals daily, are also available to all resort guests.
Innisbrook’s Golf Institute
For those more dedicated to improving their game, the award-winning Innisbrook Golf Institute, a Florida Golf School, provides the perfect setting for students to concentrate and focus. Founded more than 30 years ago, the Innisbrook Golf Institute is ranked in the Top 25 of all golf schools nationally by Golf Magazine.
