St. Lucia has a wide variety of experiences – from Fish Friday at Anse La Raye, to an aerial tramway or zip-lining, mountain bike trails, walking in the rain forest, or visiting the two botanical gardens, Mamiku and Diamond. Pigeon Island is very close by and is a favorite spot for a gentle climb to its fort.
Tennis and squash are available nearby, and Cap Maison aims to offer those guests who cannot sit still running and trails tailored for them personally. Horseback riding is at nearby Cas en Bas, and offers scenic tracks and sea bathing. The colorful local markets allow guests to soak up local flavors and spices, and a wide range of duty-free shops are in several locations.
Countryside Walk
An ideal opportunity to walk through the remote countryside and feel the soul of the people and the island. A refreshing three-mile walk through farm lands along a countryside road where fruit trees grow in abundance, and farmers tend to their crops. Learn about the various species of fruits and vegetables that are grown on the island as the guide points them out along the way.
Gros Piton Nature Trail
Travel by coach along the scenic west coast of the island through lush tropical vegetation onto the Fond Gens Libre, "village of the free people" community, to the welcome center. From this point, guests are joined by a knowledgeable guide who will lead along the trail which winds around the mountain at a gradual gradient becoming steeper as you near the summit of the mountain.
Wonders of Millet
An excellent excursion for bird watchers and nature lovers. A non-strenuous walk in the heartland of the country through the refreshing cool countryside. Walk along the river banks, through towering fruit trees and vegetable plantations along a circular route. See the beauty of the Roseau Dam and the majestic Morne Gimie before rejoining the bus that will take guests back to the hotel.
Kite Surfing in St. Lucia
A crescent-shaped bay, Cas en Bas is on the Atlantic side of the island benefiting from the constant breezy trade winds. It has protection from an outer reef, meaning the water is always flat inside the bay, with the swell breaking upwind outside the bay. Only a short 5 minute ride away, passing the St Lucia golf course, Kitesurfing St. Lucia is the only kite surfing school operating in the north of the island. Being so close to where a lot of the action is on the island, it is in Cas en Bas where guests will see most of the local riders out enjoying the fresh trade winds and beautiful Caribbean water.
